Emily Baker Environmental Documentary Filmmaker

Emily is a documentary filmmaker and photographer using storytelling as a way to communicate our diverse relationships with the natural world and to explore complex humanitarian issues through the lens of nature. She has a Masters in Wildlife Filmmaking from the University of the West of England and is currently based out of Bristol.

Emily is focused on projects that bring awareness to local issues with global importance. This has taken her to Tobago, to document human-wildlife conflict, explore the restorative nature of beekeeping for refugees and work with researchers in Gabon to create an emotive behavioural chimpanzee impact film for audiences throughout Central Africa. She  has worked with companies including BBC Studios, World Animal Protection and Impact Wild.

She is also an ambassador for Girls Who Click 2024, a charity uplifting female and female identifying filmmakers and photographers, striving for a more diverse industry.
